From 14 - 16 February I will once again join OBJECT Rotterdam. This year's edition will take place on a brand new location right in the city centre of Rotterdam: the former V&D. An old shopping mall transformed into state of the art office spaces. But for one weekend it will show the work of 150+ designers and artists!

I will show a new project I'm working on, together with artist Dave van Rossum. An idea we've had for almost two years now, finally actualized and ready to launch. A piece of wall art that is not only to look at but also to play with. We hope to see you there to show it in real life.

STUDIO SALE

Get your Christmas shopping done during our STUDIO SALE on 13+14 December! You are welcome on Friday 13th (15:00-18:00) and Saturday 14th (12:00-16:00) to see the workshop, have a chat and buy some porcelain. My studio is located in Concordiastraat 68 in Utrecht. At the front door you can ring my doorbel (number 030). Inside you follow the yellow arrows.

I will of course be selling my regular collections of porcelain vases, tableware and jewellery. I will have a special discount (up to 50%) on all Christmas decorations and many unique samples and seconds for very attractive prices! First come first serve.

Dutch Design Week 2024

Dutch Design Week is right around the corner. For nine whole days I will be showing my STUCCO tableware, made from 100% recycled porcelain, including a few new glaze colours! You can find me inside the boiler room of 100Watt Brewery, located at the Schellens Factory. Only 15 minute walk from Eindhoven Centraal station and right in between Van Abbe Museum and NRE terrain.

I will do live demonstrations to show you a little about the materials and the techniques that led to this collection. Don't miss it!

Once again I will show my collections at showUP! A tradeshow for home and gift at the Brabanthallen in Den Bosch. Will you show up? Mould making course

Want to learn how to make a multi part mould? Join our expert course, starting in January!

During this eight-week course we will help you create your own design in porcelain, from start to finish. You will go through the whole proces of making a model and mould in plaster, slipcasting with porcelain and finishing your products with glaze. In this course we will spend more time on the design of muli-part moulds, which means you can create a more complex shape. No prior experience is needed but if you want to start at the basics? Join our basic course first!

New collection at OBJECT

The new STUCCO tableware collection will be launched during OBJECT Rotterdam. In continuation of my recycling research, I designed a new tableware collection made of 100% recycled porcelain. The name STUCCO comes from the series of wall tiles I created in 2022, inspired by plasterwork techniques.

When mixing different colours of leftovers and trimmings I always end up with a grey slip. Due to variations each batch has a slightly different hue. The reclaimed slip is too thick for regular casting, so I experimented with new ways to apply it in the mold. By applying it manually, layer by layer, it creates the most unique patterns and textures. This tactile tableware just begs to be held!

RIBBEL collection for Saudade Collective

During the lockdown in 2020 I started collaborating with Saudade Collective. This new initiative is all about sustainable and fair design, by working together closely with craftsmen and women. I am one of the lucky few that got to design a new collection of porcelain planters and vases for this label!
